Classic Mojito

White rum, fresh mint and zesty lime, classic and refreshing.

Ingredients 

 

  • High ball glass

  • Ice

  • Bar Spoon

  • 50ml White Rum (we used Bacardi)

  • 1/2 Lime, cut into wedges

  • 4 Sprigs fresh mint, plus extra for garnish

  • 1tsp brown sugar

  • Soda water, to top up

Method

 

  1. Cut a lime in half and then cut the half into quarters. Add to a Boston mixer glass and muddle with the brown sugar with the end of a bar spoon

  2. Add the mint leaves (stems removed) and the rum and muddle some more. 

  3. Fill a highball glass with ice and pour over the muddled rum, mint and lime mixture.

  4. Add in some more mint leaves for garnish, top up with soda water and give it a good stir to mix it all together. 

  5. Top up with more ice if necessary and add mint leaves and a lime wedge to garnish. 

  6. Sit back, sip and enjoy!
